Black Mountain Classic Nordic Ski Race. This year the 31k "classic only" race will be held Saturday March 2, 2013. The 10K "John Hardin / Marv Mendyk" Tour, as in the past, will also be held on Saturday at the same time as the Classic race.

In addition, and for the first time, a 10k skate race will be held at Black Mountain the next day Sunday March 3, 2013. This first time event, named the Black Mountain March to Madness. will give skiers of all levels a real chance to enjoy skiing on the Mountain. These races have will bring participants and spectators to the area from around the country for a full weekend of great skiing and fun.
