Alpena to Hilman Trail

ALPENA HILLMAN TRAIL (also known as the Paxon Spur). A 22 mile abandoned rail grade recently purchased by the DNR that we expect to be developed in the future. Currently there is no timetable for development. In Alpena the trail will connect to the expanding Alpena Bi-Path.

Distance: 22 miles
Trail Surface: railroad ballast, mixed dirt and stone
Horses: Permitted in Summer
Snowmobiles: Permitted in Winter
