Fresh Gravel Smooths the Wheelway at Petoskey State Park

Anyone who rides the Little Traverse Wheelway knows that the short path leading to the back of Petoskey State Park can be treacherous during dry conditions. Deep sand and tree roots can upset even the most experienced cyclists.

However, park workers have been earning praise over the last several weeks as they lay a thick layer of gravel over the trail. This important work has solidified the path, making bike riding easier and safer.
