Helen Habicht Joins Top of Michigan Trails Council Staff

Helen Habicht has joined the Top of Michigan Trails Council staff as Development Director.

Helen oversees development and fundraising programs for TOMTC and joined our team this month.

She loves being outside and making the most of Northern Michigan’s beautiful seasons, whether she’s skiing in the winter, biking the trails or swimming in Lake Michigan in the summer, or practicing mindfulness through yoga year-round.

Helen grew up downstate and relocated to Harbor Springs five years ago. While her background is in scientific research and administration, she found a passion for mission-driven non-profit work after moving to Northern Michigan.

“I’m excited to help support the trails and the communities that make this such a special place to live and explore,” she said.

Trails Council Interim Executive Director Becca Nelson said Helen is a welcome addition.

“Helen is a perfect fit for our newly created position of Development Director,” she said. “We are excited to have her and utilize her skills, along with her love of trails, to engage supporters and grow the impact of our organization.”
